 The 7Rs Story

Back in the late ’90s, there was a small local bookkeeping business called Balancing Act, owned and operated by the very talented Barb Reynolds. Having worked alongside Barb in those early years, we eventually decided that working together once clearly hadn’t been enough.

And so, 7R Services Bookkeeping & Payroll was born.

A couple of years later, the next generation joined the team, officially turning 7R into a three-generation family affair. Along the way, we’ve created a workplace built on accurate books, great client service, random bursts of song, plenty of laughter, and the occasional debate over who drank the last Diet Coke.

Today, everyone has found their niche.

Barb has officially “retired” — which, in bookkeeping terms, apparently means still coming back every tax season. She brings decades of experience and remains part of the legacy that started it all.

Taryn is quickly becoming our resident QuickBooks Online guru, tackling QBO clients and proving that bookkeeping talent may, in fact, be hereditary.

Janine focuses on payroll, client relationships and growing 7R, while keeping the moving pieces organized and making sure there is always enough caffeine to support operations.

And while family may have started the story, our team has grown beyond it.

Amy has been part of 7R for more than five years and is our Sage specialist, taking great care of our Sage clients and bringing experience, consistency and a healthy tolerance for the rest of us.

Our newest addition, Shelia, focuses on our QuickBooks Online clients and has fit into the team so naturally that we're pretty sure she was supposed to be here all along.

Together, we offer bookkeeping, payroll and business support backed by decades of combined experience — with different specialties, different strengths and one shared goal:

Take care of our clients, take care of each other, and make dealing with the numbers a little less painful.

We believe a productive workplace requires a few essential resources:

And, perhaps most importantly…

A fridge full of Diet Coke and an apparently unlimited supply of Nespresso.

Because behind every well-balanced set of books is a bookkeeper who has been appropriately caffeinated.
